Traditionally, South Boston Speedway has saved its biggest  racing event for the end of the season.

Jaynee Campbell scored two goals, one in each half, and the Halifax County High School varsity girls soccer team defeated Dan River 2-0 for its second straight scrimmage shutout.

Kashmer gets ‘hat trick’ in scrimmage win

 

Collin Kashmer finished with a soccer version of a hat trick, scoring three goals Tuesday night in a 6-0 win by the Halifax County High School varsity boys soccer team over Dan River, in a scrimmage played in Ringgold.

Girls netters drop scrimmage at home to Randolph-Henry

 

Monica Puckett won her singles match and teamed with Shania DeJarnette to win at number one doubles, but the Halifax County High School girls tennis team dropped a 7-2 scrimmage decision to Randolph-Henry at home Wednesday.
