Lady Comets let lead slip away, lose to GW

The game began as if it could be a signature win for the Comets’ varsity girl’s basketball team, but in the end it was just another disappointing loss, a 51-40 setback at home Friday to GW-Danville.

Offensive drought wilts Blue Comets

It’s a vexing situation. For two games in a row, the Halifax County High School varsity boys basketball team has built a tempo that has held opponents to 50 points or less. But, the Comets have been unable to produce much of anything on the offensive end.
