The Halifax County Dixie Boys all-stars are 2-1 thus far in the Dixie Boys State Tournament in Grayson County after a 10-1 win over Timberlake Sunday morning.

Pre-Majors head for World Series

There was quite a celebration after Tristan Howerton lofted a deep fly ball to centerfield to score Eddie Chaney to give the South Boston Dixie Pre-Majors all-star baseball team the state championship and a World Series berth with an 11-1 win over Amherst County in five innings Monday night at C.H. Friend Field in South Boston.
