Comets boys tennis team opens with solid victory

Numbers two through six singles came away with wins, and two of three doubles teams also won their matches as the Halifax County High School boys tennis team won its season-opener 7-2 at home Monday over Randolph-Henry High School.

Halifax County High School varsity girls soccer Head Coach Sid Young admitted he didn’t know what to expect from his team in its initial scrimmage of the season, but what he saw was all positive in a 5-0 win over Heritage High School Monday at Tuck Dillard Memorial Stadium.
