New Halifax County High School Head Football Coach Michael Roark has set a series of meetings next week for players and parents of students who plan to play ninth-grade, junior varsity and varsity football at Halifax County High School this coming season.
Meetings have been set for Monday, April 30, Tuesday, May 1 and Thursday, May 3. All three meetings will be held at the field house at Tuck Dillard Stadium. Each meeting will start at 6:30 p.m.
Players and their parents or guardians will have to attend only one of the meetings.
“We will be going over spring and summer schedules, team rules, expectations and physicals,” Roark said.
The meetings with players and their parents are the first of upcoming football-related meetings that have been scheduled.
The Football Booster Club will meet Monday May 7, at 5:30 p.m. at the field house at Tuck Dillard Stadium. Parents of football players at Halifax County Middle School as well as the three high school football teams are urged to attend this organizational meeting.
“The Football Booster Club has included the Halifax County Middle School football program so that we can help with their equipment needs,” Roark pointed out.
In addition, Roark has announced plans to form a Halifax County High School Football Alumni Club. An organizational meeting will be held Tuesday, May 8.
“Anybody who has ever played football at Halifax County High School is invited to join,” Roark said.
“This meeting is to start the foundation to get the club off the ground.”
