HCHS Comets looking for second win

HCHS Faces Heritage High School here tonight at 7 p.m.

After having won its first game of the season last week, the Halifax County High School varsity football team is looking to put another mark in the win column.

Halifax County Middle School cannot win the regular-season Southside Middle School Conference regular-season golf title, but the door of opportunity remains open for the Lions to win conference championship tournament.

Halifax County High School had a good outing, finishing in a tie for second place in Monday’s fourth-round Western Valley District regular-season golf tournament at Willow Creek Country Club in Rocky Mount.

ALTON……Teammates Randy Pobst and Andy Pilgrim made it a big weekend for their K-Pax Racing Team, splitting wins in the pair of SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge Series here at VIRginia International Raceway.

Comets Varsity spikers repeat Staunton Invitational tourney win Saturday

The Halifax County High School varsity volleyball team took home the championship of the Staunton River Invitational Volleyball Tournament for the second year in a row with wins over Staunton River and Altavista on Saturday.
