The Halifax County Middle School basketball team improved to 2-0 in the Southside Middle School Confernce and 4-0 overall Monday with a tougher than expected 40-29 home win over Bluestone.

Winter sports season begins today

Halifax County High School’s winter sports teams will kick off the 2010-2011 season tonight, with basketball and swimming on the agenda and wrestling slated to kick off on Saturday.
