The Halifax American Darlings all-stars are one win away from the Dixie Softball District 7 championship after a 22-1 win over Halifax National on Sunday.
American needed to win only one of two games Tuesday night against Brookneal to win the district.
Brookneal advanced to the title game by eliminating Halifax National 6-5 on Monday.

Two runs in the top of the fifth inning allowed Brookneal to escape with a 6-5 win over Halifax National on Monday.
National scored one run in the first inning, two in the third and two in the fourth inning, and Brookneal scored one run in the first inning, three in the third and two in the fifth.
Peyton Wallace and Tanaya Brandon led National with two hits apiece, and Mallory Salley, Kaylee Bomar, Ruby Long, Kaitlyn Jackson, Lydia Wenzel, Morgan Edwards and Jaci Parham added a hit apiece.
Brookneal finished with eight hits for the game.

Halifax American finished with 17 hits to beat Halifax National 22-1 in three innings on Sunday, with Shamya Hankins and Kylie Satterfield slugging home runs for American.
Sarah Watts had three hits and Kamyria Woody-Giggetts, Trinity Martin (triple) and Hankins had two hits apiece, while Madison Barnes, Ashlyn Strickland, Lynia Reed, Samantha Velazquez, Brittany Barksdale, Arrisa Conner and Saviana Bailey hitting singles for American.
National finished with three hits for the game, one each in the second inning for Long and Alyssa Glasscock, and one in the third by Wenzel.
Halifax National scored its run in the second inning.
