Skye Harlow doubled, Malasia Boyd hit into an RBI groundout and Taylor Jones hit an RBI single to make it 4-0.
Charlotte County collected six hits in the first three innings, scoring two runs in its first at-bat, four runs in the second and one run in the third inning to take a 7-4 lead.
Halifax American rallied in the fourth inning when Sara Moser drew a leadoff walk and Boyd singled but got caught in a rundown.
Jones followed with an RBI hit to cut the deficit to 7-5 after four innings.
Erica Allgood singled in the sixth inning, and Dyer reached base on an error in the seventh inning, but Halifax could draw no closer.
