Page wins pro wrestling event at HCHS

Halifax County resident Adam Page was at center stage in Saturday night’s Premier Wrestling Xperience – Test of Strength professional wrestling event at Halifax County High School and took advantage of the opportunity to pick up a big win.

Competing in the night’s main event, Page defeated Roderick Strong.

“I’ve got a few good bruises and bumps, but nothing to complain about,” Page said.

“Roderick Strong was a true test of strength, and I’m looking forward to challenging Chip Day for the iTV Title in two weeks.”

Earlier in the evening, Day defeated Cedric Alexander to win the iTV Title.

Fans attending Saturday night’s wrestling event at Halifax County High School were treated to a big night of action.

The famed “Boogie Woogie Man,” Jimmy Valiant and his partner Zane Riley defeated George South and John Skyler in the night’s headliner tag team match.

In other tag team matches, Delirious and Jake Manning won over The Bravado Brothers by disqualification and Elements of Wrestling won over Worst Case Scenario.

Also Saturday night, Jason Blade defeated Justin Flash, Alex Byrd beat Kyle Styles and, in women’s action, Amber O’Neal defeated Amanda Rodriguez.

Saturday night’s event was staged as a fund-raising event for the Halifax County High School yearbook, art and athletic departments. All proceeds from the event will go to Halifax County High School.
