“Mr. Mid Atlantic” Rikki Nelson made what may be his final appearance in South Boston as the reigning MACW Heavyweight Champion Saturday night count in a big way.
Nelson, who has said he will retire from the ring late this year, defeated the legendary Ricky Morton, who comprised one half of the famed Rock ‘N Roll Express, to retain the MACW title.
In the other featured bout Saturday night, “Buff The Stuff” Bagwell defeated “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner in a special challenge match that involved a crutch and steel chairs.
Steiner, enraged by the referee’s decision, ended the night by hitting the official with a chair and walking off with the official lying on the floor with the chair on his back.
Also Saturday night, “The Feature Presentation” Jeff Lewis Neal defeated former MACW Hardcore Champion Chris Hamrick, Virginian Chase Owens pinned Sigmon to win the MACW Junior Heavyweight title.
In the final match, Cedric Alexander defeated Elliott Russell in a battle of MACW newcomers.
