It’s blue versus white at Industrial all-star game

It’ll be the blue team versus the white team at the annual South Boston Business & Industrial Basketball League all-star game on Sunday.

Admission is $1 per person for the annual contest, slated to begin at 5 p.m. at the South Boston Recreation Center.

A total of 24 all-stars are set to take the court, as voted by the league’s coaches.

Tye Barksdale, Jerail Howerton and Joey Barksdale represent Dollar General/Unarco on the blue team, Sterling Williams and Eric Pounds represent Presto/Halifax, and Jermaine Thaxton and Hakeem Ager represent Kajeah/Pathways.

Justin Long and Demetrius Burrell of HRHS/Volunteers also are on the blue team.

Blaine Key of Aquatics/Pacific Headwear, Travis Fuller of Goodyear and Tremaine Richardson (alternate) of ABB round out the blue team roster.

Regular season and tournament champion United Steps/Felton Brothers, the 40 + Warriors and AW II each have three players on the white team.

Cordaro Boyd, Aaron Hill and Donald Watson of United/Felton are white team selections, as are Clyde Waller, James Allen and Kevin Allen of AW II.

Matthew McCargo, Waverly Harris and Calvin Chaney of the Warriors were selected, as were Combined Tournament champion SVHEC teammates DeShon Dabbs and Robert Jackson.

The all-star game features three players who have averaged 20 plus points a game this season, and the white team has two of them, Chaney (25.27) and James Allen (20.40).

Perennial all-star Tye Barksdale averaged 21.91 points per game this season.

The top-two free throw shooters playing Sunday are Waller 84.62 percent, and Joey Barksdale (81.25 percent).
