‘SuperBrawl’ coming Saturday

Scott Steiner has long been recognized as one of the top stars in professional wrestling. With 19 championships, including 12 World Tag Team titles with his brother, Rick, Steiner is a tough, highly competitive star looking to add to his lengthy list of championships.

Steiner, who is known as “Big Poppa Pump,” will be among several top Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling stars appearing Saturday night at Halifax County High School in the MACW “SuperBrawl,” the biggest MACW pro wrestling event ever held at Halifax County High School.

Steiner is scheduled to face TNA star Gunner for the Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling Hardcore Championship, one of a handful of title matches that are scheduled for Saturday night’s 8 p.m. event at the Halifax County High School gym.

The Steiner-Gunner matchup is one of four title matches fans will see at Saturday night’s pro wrestling event, which is being staged as a fund-raising event for the Halifax County High School Athletic Department.

Also Saturday night, former WWE star Matt Hardy will return to Halifax County High School to team up with MACW star Buff “The Stuff” Bagwell to face the tandem of “Mr. Mid-Atlantic” Rikki Nelson and Jeff “The Feature Presentation” Lewis for the MACW Tag Team title.

Chris Hamrick will face Chase Owens for the MACW Junior Heavyweight title and Jayme Jamison and Reby Sky, who waged quite a battle when the MACW stars made a stop here this past January, will square off for the Ladies Championship.

Tickets for the event, a fund-raising event for the Halifax County High School Athletic Department, are priced at $20 for ringside seats and $12 for general admission tickets.
