The Halifax Youth Football program will hold a sign-up meeting for players and cheerleaders Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the South Boston Recreation Center. No fees are required for Saturday’s meeting, but all players should have a copy of their birth certificate, and there is a $25 entry fee to participate in the league.
All games will be played at Mary Bethune Field on Saturday mornings, but all practices will be held at each team’s local field.
The league includes teams from Halifax, South Boston, Scottsburg, Volens, Cluster Springs, Mecklenburg County and Person County.
The youth football program has two divisions, including the Mites (boys ages 6-8) and Pee Wee (boys ages 9-11) divisions.
