Cage Takes Senior Games Tennis Title

Bob Cage of Halifax has done it again. Cage, of Halifax, won the gold medal in the singles division of the men’s tennis tournament in the 85-89 age division during the 32nd Annual Virginia Senior Games.

The tournament was held May 7 in Richmond.

The Virginia Senior Games are sponsored by the Virginia Recreation and Park Society. The philosophy of the games is to provide competition for everyone age 50 and over.

From swimming and tennis to canasta, events are chosen to include the non-athletic person as well as the athletic person, to accommodate all skill levels, and to promote an atmosphere of competition and fun.

The 33rd annual Virginia Senior Games will be held in Richmond in 2011 on dates to be announced later.
