Fair back in town

The fair is back in town, and what memories are rekindled when fairgoers make that annual trek to the fairgrounds for one fun-packed week each fall. 

We’re all going nuts

A heavy mast means a hard winter, so the saying goes, and if that’s the case, we’re in for a cold one, judging by the crunching noise under my feet.

A true tobacco man

South Boston native Roger Jackson Eggleston, a true tobacco man, was memorialized at the Kenbridge Tobacco Museum this summer following his untimely death on March 17 of this year. He was 55.
