Kimberly Diane Riggan, age 33, of 184 Buffalo Road, Clarksville died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in Meadowview Terrace.  

Margaret Conner Owen

Mrs. Margaret Conner Owen, age 62, of 3141 Thompson Store Road, Vernon Hill, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in Duke University Medical Center.  

Inez Yates Vaughan


Mrs. Inez Yates Vaughan of South Boston died, Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Halifax County on April 14, 1929 and was 83 years of age.  She was the daughter of the late Albert Johnson Yates and Molly Duffer Yates and is survived by her husband, Edd Earl Vaughan.

Jerome Lamont Wilborn

Mr. Jerome Lamont Wilborn of Vernon Hill died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 30.

April Lynn Bryant

April Lynn Bryant departed this life suddenly and left our hearts and minds in sorrow on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, in Los Angeles, Calif.  April was born Sept. 20, 1979.  April is survived by her devoted and loving mother, Gilda Edmonds Bryant of Los Angeles; and her grandmother, Thelma Jennings Edmonds of Halifax.  

Earl R. Fox

Earl R. Fox passed away Sunday, his 94th birthday.  He was born at Fort Eustis on Sept. 23, 1919 to Nellie Sweet Fox of New Kent County and Lt. Col. Earl Judson Fox, USA.  He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Reba Booker Fox.

William Lindsay ‘Bill’ Harnsberger Jr.

Mr. William Lindsay ‘Bill’ Harnsberger Jr., age 70 of Patrick Springs, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012.  He was born in Henry County on Sept. 15, 1942, to the late William Lindsay Harnsberger Sr. and Ruth Smoot Harnsberger.  Mr. Harnsberger served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and had retired from the United States Postal Service with 20 years of service.  He was a member of Stuart United Methodist Church, and was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.  He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed being outdoors with his family and friends.

Kimberly Chafin Harris

Ms. Kimberly Chafin Harris, 53, of 1228 Horseshoe Trail, Alton died Sept. 24, 2012 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Lexington, Ky. on July 13, 1959 to the late Walter Kerry Chafin and Marie Puryear Chafin.
