Mr. Otis Clifton Landrum Jr. of Virgilina died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born in Halifax County, Feb. 4, 1964 and was 50 years of age. He was the son of the late Otis Clifton Landrum Sr. and is survived by his mother, Bonnie Mills Shotwell, and husband Alfred.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served 13 years.
Mr. Landrum Jr. is survived by his fiancé, Donna Renee Wilborn, of Virgilina; his mother, Bonnie Mills Shotwell, and husband Alfred of Alton; two daughters, Natasha Marie Ward of Alton, Brittany Landrum, of Greeley, Col.; two sons, David Wayne Landrum of Richmond, Michael Evans of Alton; six grandchildren, Damien Mandrell and Izabell Landrum, Landon Duffield, Nicole Duffield, Jaiden Landrum and Taylor Evans; one niece, Krystle Shelton, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lisa Michelle Landrum.
Funeral services for Mr. Otis Clifton Landrum Jr. will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dib Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Shotwell Family Cemetery at Alton with military honors.
The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home Friday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of his mother, 1116 Turbeville Road, Alton.
