Mrs. Patricia Terry Bratton of South Boston died Dec. 24, 2013 at her residence at the age of 74.
Mrs. Bratton was born in Halifax County on Feb. 13, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Mr. Otis Terry and Mrs. Airlean Edmonds Terry. She was married to the late Mr. Eddie Bratton and was a member of St. Paul Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Halifax.
Mrs. Bratton is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Sherrie B. Royster and her husband, Brian, of Bullock, N.C., Ms. Felicia Bratton of Greensboro, N.C. and Ms. Tiffaney Bratton of South Boston; one son, Mr. Torrin Bratton, of Tacoma, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Florine Powell of Philadelphia, Pa., and Mrs. Carolyn Hicks and Ms. Gyvonia Terry, both of South Boston; two brothers, Mr. Wilson Terry of Philadelphia and Mr. Samuel Terry of Greensboro, N.C.; six grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bratton will be held Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at 3 p.m. at St. Paul C.M.E. Church in Halifax with the Rev. Thomas Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home, 2224 Old Grubby Road, South Boston.
Public viewing will be held at Jeffress Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
