Mr. Randolph Barnes III of Webster Street, South Boston died Nov. 13, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 65.
Mr. Barnes was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on Aug. 24, 1948 to the late Rev. Randolph Barnes and Ms. Maude Mills. He was married to Mrs. Belinda Powell Barnes.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Tiffany James and husband Haywood of Chester and Ms. Nichole Barnes of Philadelphia; two sons, Mr. Paris Barnes of South Boston and Mr. Joshua Barnes of Willow Grove, Pa.; two stepsons, Mr. Earl Ross and wife Tajonda and Mr. James Ross, all of South Boston; three sisters, Mrs. Valerie Ballard of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ms. Yolanda Barnes of Atlanta, Ga. and Mrs. Dorraine Lindsay and husband Leonard of Willow Grove; one brother, Mr. John Barnes and wife Michelle of Rochester, N.Y.; and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, two brothers, Mr. Frederick Williams and Mr. Iceson Williams; and one niece, Ms. Stacey Mills, also preceded Mr. Barnes in death.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Barnes family farm on News Ferry Road, South Boston. The Rev. Naomi Bouldin will officiate.
Family and friends will gather at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Crews, 7142 River Road, at 12:45 p.m. for those who would like to join them for the processional to the memorial service.
