Mrs. Juanita Louise Williams Walton of South Boston died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at The Woodview at the age of 71.
Mrs. Walton was born in Halifax County on Sept. 8, 1942 to the late Mr. Joseph Nathan Williams and Mrs. Eva Stokes Williams Cunningham. She was formerly married to Mr. Norman Walton and was a member of First Baptist Church in South Boston. Mrs. Walton was a retired United States Postal Service employee.
Survivors include two sons, Mr. Anthony Walton and wife Vickie of Accokeek, Md. and Mr. Norman Walton of Dumfries; three grandchildren, Amber, Nicholas and Christopher Walton; one brother, Mr. Raymond Williams; one niece, four nephews; one brother-in-law, Mr. Reese Ford; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including Ms. Jean Winston, Ms. Toni Ross and Mrs. Georgia Kowlessar.
In addition to her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Eva Mae Williams Gravely and her twin, Mrs. Chenita Williams Ford; and one brother, Mr. Joseph Williams, also preceded Mrs. Walton in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Ferry Street, South Boston with the Rev. Frank E. Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
The family is receiving friends Thursday evening from 6 until 7 at Jeffress Funeral Home and all other times at the residence, 507 Cardinal Court, South Boston.
