Mrs. Doloise “Dee” Womack of South Boston died on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Lynchburg General Hospital at the age of 72.
Mrs. Womack was born in Halifax County on Aug. 7, 1941 to the late Mr. Walter William Womack and Mrs. Mary Fannie Chandler Womack. She was married to the late Mr. Austin Malcolm Womack and was a member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Womack is survived by two daughters, Ms. Denise Marcia W. Jennings of Halifax and Ms. Veronica Womack of Nathalie; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two son in-laws, Mr. Malcolm Jennings and Mr. Rodney Robertson; two devoted friends, Ms. Mattie Barksdale and Ms. Gracie Jennings; one devoted cousin, Ms. Melody Johnson; one brother in-law, Mr. Oscar Womack; two sister in-laws, Mrs. Bernice Womack and Mrs. Ethel Womack; and a host of nieces, nephews other relative and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Mr. Arthur Womack, Mr. William Womack, Mr. Charlie Womack and Mr. Caleb Womack; four sisters, Ms. Gracie Womack, Mrs. Elizabeth Powell, Mrs. Lue Fannie Wood and Ms. Lydia Mae Womack.
Funeral services for Mrs. Deloise Womack will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax.
The family is receiving friends at the residence of Ms. Denise Marcia Womack, 1156 Howard P. Anderson Road in Halifax and the residence of Ms. Veronica Womack, 17155 L .P. Bailey Memorial Highway in Nathalie.
Public viewing for family and friends will held Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Funeral services are by Jeffress Funeral Home, South Boston.
