Mr. Avery Thomas Guill of Farragut Avenue, South Boston died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 38.
Mr. Guill was born in Halifax County on Oct. 9, 1975 to Mrs. Marylee Barksdale Davis and the late Mr. Earl Thomas Guill.
Mr. Guill is survived by his son, Mr. A’Rek Guill, of Scottsburg; his two daughters, Ms. Sabrina Urrea of Victoria, Texas and Ms. A’Kiya Guill of the home; his granddaughter, Ms. BayLynn Urrea, of Victoria, Texas; his mother and stepfather, Mrs. Marylee B. Davis and Mr. Major Wilson Davis; his stepmother, Mrs. Kay Guill, of Chase City; his brother, Mr. Antwan Davis, and fiancé Whitney of Halifax; his sister, Mrs. Laurie Ann Medley, and husband Tommie of Chase City; his step grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Jennings Barksdale; a special devoted friend, Ms. Tracey Walker Hatcher; his nephews, one uncle, three aunts and a host of other relatives and friends, including Mr. Allen Demchenko.
Funeral services for Mr. Avery Thomas Guill will be Wedneday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel in Halifax.
The family is receiving friends at the residence, 1905 Farragut Avenue, South Boston. Public viewing for family and friends will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at The Crawford House Chapel.
