Charlie Ross Tuck, 81, of State Shed Road, Nathalie passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy Lloyd Tuck for 54 years.
Mr. Tuck was born in Halifax County on March 7, 1932 a son of the late Alfred N. Tuck and Mabel Williams Tuck. He was a member of the Brookneal Church of God of Prophecy, a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired employee of Foster Fuels.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Gregory A. Tuck, (Tiffany) of Lynchburg; three daughters, Vicky L. Walker (Richard) of Hurt, Patricia M. Douglas of Brookneal and Lisa T. Reed of Rustburg; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Russell Tuck, (Ladora) of Duncan, Okla; three sisters, Peggy Coates of Nathalie, Dale Thompson (David) of Lynchburg and Cecile Chandler (Rickey) of Mecklenburg.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Casey Allen Douglas, one sister and five brothers.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Shelton Miles and Rudy Tidwell with interment to follow in Wickliffe Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal and at the residence other times.
