Sally Bett Sydnor Coleman of Coles Ferry Road, Nathalie died Tuesday, Aug. 27, at The Woodview Nursing Home at the age of 82.
Mrs. Coleman was born July 26, 1931 in Halifax County to the late Edward Lee Sydnor and Katie Jackson Sydnor. She was married to Jimmie Lee Coleman and was a member of Brown’s Memorial Church of God in Christ.
In addition to her husband, survivors include one daughter, Helen Sydnor of Scottsburg; one son, Willie Sydnor and wife Betty of Nathalie; seven grandchildren, including the devoted Inez Lacks; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Katie Coleman and husband Charles of Clover; one brother-in-law, Charlie Jennings; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, one sister, Martha Jennings; and six brothers, Mark, Charles, PerAllen, Fred, Joe and George Sydnor, also preceded Mrs. Coleman in death.
Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. at Brown’s Memorial Church of God in Christ with Pastor William Mosby Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at the residence of Willie and Betty Sydnor, 1127 Hardings Mill Road, Nathalie.
Public visitation for family and friends will be at The Crawford House chapel Sunday from noon until 6 p.m.
