Mr. Larry Michael “Mickey” Rowe Sr. of 70 Opossum Hollow Lane, Fries passed away Aug. 16, 2013 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital at the age of 69.
Mr. Rowe was born July 20, 1944 in Chattanooga, Tenn. to the late Earnest C. Rowe and Louise Barton Rowe.
Mr. Larry Michael Rowe Sr. was a former contractor and served in the U.S. Army. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Mr. Larry Michael “Mickey” Rowe Sr. is survived by one son, L. Michael “Mike” Rowe Jr. and wife Nancy Collins Rowe of Clarksville; one granddaughter, Victoria Rowe; one sister, Peggy Lou Morris of Akron, Ohio; a caregiver, Aunt Betty Peake of Fries; five aunts, Jane Neill, Wanda Vaughan, Joyce Goad, Barbara Patton and Patty Shifflett; other survivors, J.R. and JoAnne Burnett, Karla B. Rowe of South Boston and Jenny May Sisk of Kingsport, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest C. Rowe and Louise Barton Rowe.
Funeral services for Larry Michael Rowe Sr. were held Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Collins officiating. Burial followed in Halifax Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and at other times at the home of Karla B. Rowe, 1097 Seven Oaks Drive, South Boston.
