Jonnice Belinda Elizabeth Hamilton, age 64, died suddenly May 1, 2013 in Wheaton, Md. after a long illness. She was a retired computer specialist at the U.S. Department of Energy.
Born in South Boston, she was predeceased by her parents, John A. and Sally James Hamilton; and brothers Joseph Hamilton and James Brisby.
Her survivors include one sister, Barbara Brisby Petty; and sister-in-law, Bertha Hamilton of Washington, D.C.; her nephews, Brooke Hamilton (Joy) of Bowie, Md., and Jeffrey Petty of South Boston; nieces Patricia Petty Morse (Sterling) of Washington, D.C. and Jocelyn Petty Hood (Gerald) of Charlotte, N.C.; cousins Vivian H. Clark, Levi Hamilton, James Squires and Louise Squires of South Boston; Emily H. Driggins of Baldwin, N.Y., Anne H. Nelson of Memphis, Tenn., Hamilton Squires of Cary, N.C.; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held later at her home church in Washington, D.C., with her burial in South Boston.
