Mr. Adolphus Napoleon Brown Jr. of Short Street, Clover died May 25, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 70.
Mr. Brown was born in Halifax County on March 14, 1943 and was the son of the late Mr. Adolphus N. Brown Sr. and Mrs. Emma Ewell Brown. He was married to the late Mrs. Marion Wilborne Brown and was a member of Bethel Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Adolphus Napoleon Brown Jr. is survived by three sisters, Ms. Diane Brown of Clover, Mrs. Preteasta Barksdale and husband Alfred of Lynchburg and Ms. Hattie Brown of Clover; four brothers, Mr. James Harold Brown and wife Betty and Mr. Morgan Dwight Brown of Clover, Mr. Randy Brown and wife Mary of Forest and Mr. Lionell Brown of Clover; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Barbara C. Brown and Mrs. Darlene D. Brown, both of Clover, and Mrs. Ordelia Brown of Roxboro, N.C.; three aunts, Mrs. Sarah Baldwin of Nathalie, Mrs. Mamie Clark and husband Sydney of Clover, and Mrs. Rosa Bell West of Richmond; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie, Archie, Flave and Andrew Brown.
Funeral services for Mr. Adolphus Napoleon Brown Jr. will be held Wednesday, May 29, at 1 p.m. with services at Bethel Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at the home of his sister, Ms. Diane Brown, 7248 Hunting Creek Road, Clover.
Public viewing for family and friends will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
