Henry Terrell ‘Terry’ Coghill, 62, of Buffalo Junction, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born March 24, 1951 to Bailey Junior “BJ” Coghill, deceased, and Betty Burnett Coghill of Buffalo Junction.
Terry was a master carpenter and had assisted in building many homes in the area. He loved to garden and was a member of the Buggs Island Wildlife Club and was a former board member of the Black Water Archery Club. He was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim McAlister officiating. Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill cemetery.
In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by his daughters, Amy Lynn Coghill Humphries and her husband, Mike, of Roxboro, N.C., and Wendy Dawn Coghill of South Boston; granddaughter, Courtney Mae Humphries; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie B. and Sandra Coghill of Roxboro, John M. and Connie Coghill of Buffalo Junction, and J.B. (deceased) and Judy Coghill of Virgilina. Also surviving are his nieces and their husbands, Penny C. and Warren Cole and their children, James and Katie Cole; Kaylyn and Joe McKenna; and nephew, Justin Coghill.
The family received friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Watkins Cooper Lyon.
