Mama was a wonderful mother who taught her children the value of hard work and the love of God. On any given day, you could find her working in the garden, tending her many flowers or cooking something good to eat in the kitchen for her family - Love those salmon cakes and hot buttered biscuits with tomatoes. She loved keeping the neighborhood children. She had the only 71-year bus stop.
A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Clover Bottom Baptist Church by the Rev. Francisco L. Muniz with interment in the church cemetery.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service and at the residence other times.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or your church in her memory.
