Mrs. Faye Porter Edmunds of South Boston died on April 17, 2013 at Sparrow Medical Center, Lansing, Michigan at the age of 77.
She was born in South Boston on April 30, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Mr. Graham Porter and Mrs. Dorothy S. Porter. She was married to John Henry Edmunds and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Sutphin Road, South Boston.
Mrs. Edmunds is survived by her husband, Mr. John H. Edmunds; one son, Mr. John Q. Edmunds, of Lansing, Mich.; four daughters, Ms. Adrienne E. Bouldin and Ms. Kelva R. Edmunds-Waller, both of Richmond, Ms. Janet E. Williams of Pineville, N.C. and Ms. Terri Edmunds-Heard of Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers, Mr. Graham B. Porter of Richmond and Mr. Algie Porter of Capital Heights, Md., and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Mrs. Edmunds will be Saturday, April 27, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Chandler officiating.
The family will be receiving friends at their residence, 1304 Porter Lane, South Boston.
