Mr. William Frank ‘Bill’ Arendall Jr. of 2041 Philpott Road, Lot 16, South Boston died Monday, April 22, 2013, at his home. He was born in Halifax County on July 23, 1944, and was 68 years of age. He was the son of the late William Frank Arendall Sr. and Lillie Morgie Martin Arendall and was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Moore Arendall.
Mr. Arendall was a member of Freedom Worship Center.
Survivors of Mr. Arendall include four daughters, Tamatha M. Arendall of South Boston, Mary F. Land and Henry of Roxboro, N.C., Shirley Moore and fiancé George Blaisdell of Graham, N.C. and Renea Lawson and Matt of Chase City; one son, James Ferguson, and Cameron of Roxboro; his fiancé, Lois Rose, of South Boston; two sisters, Clarice Walker and Mary Brown and Bobby, both of Nathalie; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Arendall will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Freedom Worship Center with the Rev. Ricky Whitlow officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Christian Church Cemetery.
The family received friends at Powell Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 23, from 7 until 8:30 p.m. and other times at his home.
