Ms. Alice Hamm Bolinger Fallen of 1188 Virgie Cole Road, South Boston died Friday, April 5, 2013, at her home at the age of 79.
Ms. Fallen was born in Mecklenburg County on July 13, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Nevin Bolinger Sr. and Sarah Carswell Bolinger.
She was a retired weaver of Burlington Industries, Inc. and formerly attended Mt. Cana United Methodist Church
Ms. Alice Hamm Bolinger Fallen is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Hamm Poole, and companion Herbert Caudle of South Boston; son Danny R. Hamm Sr. and wife Sharon of Raleigh, N.C.; sister Thelma Pennell of Chase City; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Farmer and husband Jamie and Donna Hammock and husband Tommy; grandson Danny R. Hamm Jr.; great grandchildren Blake, Destiny and Danielle Gilbert, Evelyn and Jay Farmer; and special friends Hazel Clienhans and Maggie Conner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
A funeral service for Ms. Alice Hamm Bolinger Fallen was held Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Cana Methodist Church with the Rev. Randy Holmes officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
The family received friends Saturday, April 6, 2013, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the home of her daughter, Cynthia Poole, 1188 Virgie Cole Road, South Boston.
