Ms. Shirley Ann Marshall of South Boston died on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 63.
Ms. Shirley Ann Marshall was born in Halifax County on Feb. 27, 1949 to the late Mrs. Mary Juanita Easley Marshall.
She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
Ms. Shirley Ann Marshall is survived by one grandson, Mr. Tim’Monee Marshall, of South Boston; the devoted Mr. Donald Logan of South Boston and Ms. Thedora “Cookie” Majors of Halifax, whom she nurtured as a son and daughter; four sister, Ms. Jearlean Haley and Mrs. Rita A. Childress, both of Halifax, Mrs. Nayoming Wimbish and husband Earl of Washington D.C., Mrs. Jeretta Jones and husband William of Clinton, Md.; one brother, Mr. Richard Royster, of Halifax; three aunts, Mrs. Myrtle Easley, Mrs. Equilla Easley and Mrs. Lou Fannie Bailey, all of Halifax; two uncles, Mr. Joseph Easley of Washington, D.C., and Mr. Richard Easley and wife Louise of Philadelphia, Penn.; seven nieces; two nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her mother, Ms. Marshall was preceded in death by her son, Mr. Timothy Marshall; one sister, Mrs. Juanita May Martin Ferrell; and nine aunts and three uncles.
Funeral services for Ms. Shirley Ann Marshall will be Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. at New Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie N. Yancey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Public viewing for family and friends will be at the Crawford House Chapel in Halifax on Monday, Feb. 4, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The family will receive friends at 1192 Crawford Road, Halifax.
