Lucky Lee Hudson, 56, of 1019 Black Walnut Church Road, Alton, died at his home Dec. 11, 2012. He was born in Halifax County on August 28, 1956 to the late David E. Hudson Sr. and Janie Susan Lowery Hudson.
Mr. Hudson was of the Methodist faith. He was a painter and an avid horseback rider, and he was employed at ABB.
Mr. Hudson is survived by two sons, George Hudson and wife Kim of Alton, and “Scooter” Thomas Hudson and wife Kristin of South Boston; three sisters, Louise East of King, N.C., Anne Wilkerson and husband Billy, and Gayle Hammock, all of South Boston; a brother David E. Hudson Jr. and wife Cindy of South Boston; four grandchildren, Hailey Jade Hudson, Anthony Dale Hudson, Jasmine Janae Hudson and Jace Lee Hudson; and two special friends, Debbie Johnson and Hilton Lamm.
Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Hudson and Emmett Whitt.
A graveside service will be held Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. George Gorman will officiate.
Visitation will be at the home of Anne and Billy Wilkerson, 8191 Philpott Road, South Boston.
