Linda Lydia Ratliff of 1071 Hunters Lane, South Boston died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at The Woodview. She was 94.
She was born June 4, 1918 in Halifax County, the daughter of the late John C. Ratliff and Florence Ramey Ratliff.
She was retired from the spinning department at Halifax Worsted Mill (Burlington Industries).
Ms. Ratliff also was a member of Mt. Cana United Methodist Church.
She is survived by four sisters, Eunice R. Hall of Wilmington, N.C., Gladys R. Spangler of Hampton, Carrie R. Cifers of Danville and Marie R. Flippo of Chesterfield; one brother, Bobby L. Ratliff Sr. of South Boston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Henry, Cleveland, Glenn, Joe, Cecil and Miles Ratliff.
A graveside service for Linda Lydia Ratliff was held at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 with the Rev. Susan Davis officiating.
Visitation was held at Brooks Funeral Home Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home of Bobby and Peggy Ratliff, 1025 Hunters Lane, South Boston.
