Connie Buena Tucker Wilson

Mrs. Connie Buena Tucker Wilson of Virgilina, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 at the Halifax Regional Hospital.  She was born in Pittsylvania County, on Aug. 25, 1939 and was 72 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Richard Green Tucker Sr. and the late Alpha Tanette Farson Tucker and was married to Caleb Jerry “C.J.” Wilson who survives.

She was a member of the Centerville Baptist Church, was a graduate of Spring Garden High School, Blairs.  After many years of service she retired from Belk, South Boston.

Mrs. Connie Buena Tucker Wilson is survived by, her husband Caleb Jerry “C.J.” Wilson of Virgilina; three step-daughters, Diane Watts and husband Jimmy of Virgilina, Janet Meadows and husband Ricky of Ringgold, Angela Currier and husband Greg of Norfolk; one brother, L. Alvin Tucker of South Boston; one sister, A. Mourine Tucker; four grandsons, Russell Thomas, Billy Keith Thomas, Carlton Watts, Larry Watts; one granddaughter, Emily Currier; two nieces, Terri Hazelwood and husband Danny, Tanette Smith; one great niece, Brittany Hazelwood; two great nephews, Gavin and Skyler Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Long, two brothers, Richard G. Tucker Jr. and Starkey Tucker.  Paternal Grandparents, Samuel Thomas and Lottie Smith Farson; Maternal Grandparents, James Harrison and Harriet Dalton Tucker.   

Funeral services will be held at Centerville Baptist Church, Tuesday, Aug.14 at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Todd McClure and Reverend Norman Talley officiating.  Burial will follow at Halifax Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home, Monday, Aug. 13, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home, 4064 Wilson Road, Virgilina and also the home of her sister, Mourine Tucker, 101 Nottingham Drive, South Boston.
