Mrs. Frances Terry Bowman Logan of South Boston died Monday, July 16, at Halifax Regional Hospital at the age of 59.
Mrs. Logan was born in Halifax County on Dec. 8, 1952 to the late Mr. Johnnie Stewart Terry and Mrs. Homie Garrett Terry, and was married to Mr. Floyd Logan II. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Logan is survived by her three sisters, Mrs. Verlie Terry of South Boston, Mrs. Bessie Edmonds of Halifax, and Mrs. Sue Terry Logan of South Boston; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Minnie Logan of South Boston; three brothers-in-law, Mr. Harold Logan Jr. of Austin, Texas, Mr. Thomas Wood and Mr. Matthew Logan, both of South Boston; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Nannie Randolph and Mrs. Dorothy Wood, both of South Boston and Mrs. VeFreda Logan of Austin, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Annie Pearl Bruce and Mrs. Louise Younger; and one brother, Mr. Johnnie Junior Terry, preceded her in death.
Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Terry Bowman Logan will be held Saturday, July 21, at 12 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church in Halifax, with the Rev. M. DeWayne Mack officiating.
The family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew and Sue Logan, 2016 River Road, South Boston.. Public viewing for family, and friends will be Friday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
