Albert Bernard Seamster Jr., 66, of 2000 Woody’s Store Road, Roxboro, N. C. died Monday, July 2, 2012, at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro.
Born in Vance County, Mr. Seamster was the son of the late Albert Bernard and Della Adams Seamster.
Mr. Seamster was an upholsterer and a member of Ephesus Baptist Church where he served as past treasurer, trustee and Sunday school teacher.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Seamster, and his sister, Emma Jones.
Mr. Seamster is survived by his wife, Susie Walker Seamster; two children, Michele White and husband Paul of Mebane and Eddie Seamster of Deltaville; five step-children, Shirley Wilson of Graham, Linda Bowes of Haw River, James “Red” Bowesof Roxboro, William “Tex” Bowes of Snow Camp and Harold Bowes of Lacey, Wash.; four grandchildren, Jonathan Barksdale and wife Lauren, Brandi Barksdale, Cody White and MyKayla Seamster; two great-grandchildren, Grace Barksdale and Molly Jean Barksdale.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 4, at Brooks and White Chapel by the Rev. Herbert Brown. Burial will follow in the Bethel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Brooks and White Funeral Home prior to the service and at other times at the home.
Pallbearers are Jonathan Barksdale, William Penland, Arnold Oakley, Ben Whitt, Wayne Shotwell, Elverado Cuevas and Gary Wilkins.
