Mr. Aubrey Lewis Guill Sr. of 1015 Elm Court, South Boston went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 18, 2012, at the age of 77. Mr. Guill was born Aug. 17, 1934 in Halifax County.
He was employed with J.E. Burton Construction as a foreman. He enjoyed traveling and fishing. Mr. Guill was a member of Revelation Baptist Church.
Mr. Aubrey Lewis Guill is survived by his wife, Maggie Conner Guill, of 60 years; three sons, Aubrey Guill Jr. and his wife, Neva, of South Boston, Randy Guill and his wife, Joyce, of South Boston, and Kenneth Guill and his wife, Janice, of Sutherlin; one sister, Doris Fox, of Roxboro; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
His parents, Albert Guill and Lula Hodges Guill, preceded Mr. Guill in death.
The funeral was held at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, May 20, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Robin Dunn and the Rev. Jack Stewart officiating. Interment was held at Halifax Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held at Brooks Funeral Home Saturday, May 19, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at his home.
