Julian R. Allen, age 87, of Clinton, Tenn. passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at his home in Clinton. Julian was a long time member of the Masons joining Liberty 219 in Baltimore, Md. in 1955. He later transferred to Alpha Lodge 376 in Clinton in 1987. He became master in 1992 and served faithfully until he became ill.
Julian served our country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Bogue. He served during WWII in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. Julian was a gentleman’s gentleman. He loved his son and all his family dearly. Julian was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Althea Allen; brothers Harry, James and Edgar Allen; and his first wife, Imogene Allen.
Mr. Allen is survived by his second wife, Betty Allen of the home; a son, Randall Allen of Clinton; two stepsons, Frank LaMarr and Kay of Lebanon, Tenn. and Kenneth LaMarr of Clinton; three stepdaughters, Linda Summers and Bobby of Clinton, Carolyn LaMarr of Knoxville, Tenn. and Fonda Bledsoe and Emanuel of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Christopher and Heather Allen; his great-grandchildren, John and Brooklyn; two nieces; one nephew; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Julian’s family will receive friends Friday, May 18, 2012, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton, with a Masonic funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Julian’s interment will be Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery in Clinton with full military honors.
