Ms. Rebecca W. Yeatts passed away April 5, 2012 at Richmond's Chippenham Hospital. She was born in Halifax County in 1938, grew up and attended school in the Cluster Springs area, but spent most of her adult life in Richmond. She was a life long member of Black Walnut Baptist Church, Cluster Springs.
Ms. Yeatts was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Sidney K. Yeatts; a daughter, Kathy Lynne Cole; her parents, James W. Woody and Annie Smith Woody; a brother, James W. Woody Jr.; two sisters, Jeanette W. Wilborn and Frances W. Morris.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Yeatts and wife Carolyn Yeatts of Powhatan; a granddaughter, Crystal Yeatts; a grandson, Chase lrizarry-Yeatts; a sister, Lillian W. Cole of South Boston; and a devoted nephew and niece, Michael Cole and Kimberly Seate. Also, two beloved pups, Jonah and Bandit.
Graveside services for Ms. Yeatts were held Monday, April 8, 2012, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Raymond Wooten with Michael A. Cole delivering the eulogy.
