Mrs. Mary Daniels Hall of Cherry Hill Church Road, South Boston died on Wednesday Oct. 30, 2013, in Durham, N.C. at the age of 70.
Mrs. Hall was born in Granville County, N.C. on Nov. 28, 1942 to Mrs. Corrine Daniels-Cordy and the late Mr. Samuel Daniels. She was married to the late Mr. Norman Wylyon Hall and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Hall was the former owner and operator of WSBV Radio Station and co-owner of Hall’s Record Shop and Recording Studio.
Mrs. Hall is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Graceann Richardson and husband Charles of Durham, N.C., Mrs. Sonjetta Tyler and husband Rick of Charlotte, N.C., and Mrs. Paris Lindesay and husband Mark of LaPlata. Md.; one special son, Mr. Harold Russell, of South Hill; 12 grandchildren; mother Mrs. Corrine Daniels-Cordy of Goulds, Fla.; nine sisters, Annie, Brenda, Gloria, Johnnie Fay, Gracie, Connie, Carolyn, Priscilla and Doris; two brothers, Larry and Harry; one aunt, Mrs. Mary Lou Tuck, and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Daniels Hall will be Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Bishop Elizabeth Bagley officiating. Burial will follow in Jonathan Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Oxford, N.C.
The family received friends Thursday, Nov. 7, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the home of Charles and Graceann Richardson, 1 Darden Place, Durham, N.C., 27712. They also will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Public viewing will be Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
