Ms. Brenda Williams Stewart of Logan Street, South Boston died March 21 at her residence at the age of 61. Ms. Williams was born in Halifax County, Feb. 13, 1951 and was the daughter of the late Mr. Willie Lee Williams and Mrs. Sarah Palmer Williams. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a retired employee of AT&T.
Ms. Brenda Williams Stewart is survived by one son, Mr. Robert L. Stewart Jr. of Windsor, Conn.; three grandchildren, Melikia Stewart, Kim Adams and Kyron Adams, all of South Boston; four brothers, Mr. Linwood Williams and wife Ardania of Upper Marlboro, Md., Mr. Chris Roseburough of Fredericksburg, Mr. Sterling Williams and wife Sandra and Mr. Ellis Williams, all of South Boston; her aunt Mrs. Willie Mae Day and husband Mr. Willie Day of Roxboro, N.C.; her uncle, Mr. Joe Palmer of Jacksonville, Fla., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Ms. Stewart was preceded in death by one brother, Mr. Willie Lee Williams Jr.
Funeral services for Ms. Brenda Williams Stewart were held Tuesday, March 27, at 11 a.m. with services at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Bailey officiating. Burial followed in the Rose Garden Cemetery.
The family received friends at the residence, 201 Logan Street, South Boston.
