Christine Carr Naumann, 79, native of Halifax County, formerly of Richmond, and a resident of York County since 1972 died Sunday, April 1, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Otto Robert Naumann; a daughter, Tracey Augusta, and her husband, Stephen Philip Scudieri, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; and a sister, Elizabeth C. Lindsey, of BonAir.
Christine is predeceased by her parents, Annie Edmunds Carr and Willard Franklin Carr; three sisters, Helen Martin, Blanche Conner and Sue Shapard; and three brothers, Frank, Chesley and Richard Carr.
She attended public schools and graduated from Volens High School as valedictorian and attended Longwood College.
Christine was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church in Poquoson, a member of The Hampton Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and The United Daughters of the Confederacy – Peninsula Campaign Chapter.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Amory Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Everette officiating at Amory Funeral Home.
Interment with a private graveside service will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington.
