Carol Annette Moorefield McBride Younger of Loris, S.C., formerly of Nathalie, died Feb. 26, 2012 at home surrounded by family after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 54 years young at the time of her death. Mrs. Younger is survived by her husband, Wayne Younger of Halifax; three daughters, Lynn Marie (Larry) Hardy of Loris, Carey Lee (Dean) Batchelor of Longs, S.C. and Lori Ruth (Austin) Johnson of Green Sea, S.C.; her mother, Jane McBride of Nathalie; one sister, Gwen (Keith) Yow of Seagrove, N.C.; five brothers, Mark McBride of Nathalie, David (Angel) McBride of Hickory, N.C., Jason (Sara) McBride, Adam (Abby) McBride, and Josh McBride, all of Nathalie; one brother-in-law, Lawson (Linda) Younger of Nathalie; five grandchildren, Lexi, Kiley, Dustin, Lili, and Logan, all of S.C,; two nieces; eight nephews; two great-nieces; two great-nephews; and a very large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Moorefield; her father, Wayne McBride; and her father and mother-in-law, Raleigh and Eva Younger.
Services were held Feb. 27, 2012 at 4 p.m. Carol was laid to rest on her family farm.
