Margie Ambrose Conner, 86, of 3212 Rogers Chapel Road, Clover died Feb. 27, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Gayle Medley and husband James Medley. She was born April 28, 1925 in Halifax County the daughter of James E.V. Ambrose and Mary McCormick Ambrose.
Mrs. Conner was married to the late John David Conner Jr. She was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church, a member of Woodman of the World, Hunting Creek and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Gayle Medley and husband James “Snapper” Medley of Clover; one son, J.D. Conner III and wife Janet of Halifax; three sisters, Ruth Dunn of Saxe, Gladys Smith of Scottsburg and Jessie Crews of Nathalie; four granddaughters, Staci Spell, Brittney Conner, Michelle Godard and Lori Baker; and six great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Ernest H. Ambrose, Wesley Ambrose and John Ambrose; and three sisters, Christine Smith, Eva Saunders and Louvinia Ambrose, also preceded Mrs. Conner in death.
The family received friends at Hunting Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of Gayle and James Medley, 3212 Rogers Chapel Road, Clover.
A funeral service will be held at Hunting Creek Baptist Church on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Aubrey W. Heath and Lee Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
