Kitty Wilkinson Anderson of 5215 James D. Hagood Hwy., South Boston passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 81. Mrs. Anderson was born in Halifax County on June 5, 1930, the daughter of Charles Howard Wilkinson Sr. and Elsie Hazel Baker Wilkinson.
Mrs. Anderson was the owner and operator of Crossroads Shell and a member of First Baptist Church.
Kitty Wilkinson Anderson is survived by two sons, Isaac Carson Anderson Jr. and Anthony David Anderson Sr. of Scottsburg; one daughter, Angelique Moore of Mechanicsville; five grandchildren, Anthony David Anderson Jr., Alyssa Moore, Jordan Anderson, Nicholas Anderson and Avery Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Ashton Anderson and Ethan Anderson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Carson Anderson Sr.; her parents, Charles Howard Wilkinson Sr. and Elsie Hazel Baker Wilkinson; and one brother, Charles Howard Wilkinson Jr.
Visitation for Kitty Wilkinson Anderson will be Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, from 10 a.m. to noon at Brooks Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Tony Anderson, 404 Powell Road, South Boston.
A service will be held at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dave Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
