Vivian Martin Terry, 66, of 6833 Slatesville Road, Keeling died Oct. 15, 2009 at Danville Regional Medical Center after being in declining health for two months.
She was born August 22, 1943 in Halifax County the daughter of Pearl Wright Martin of Brookneal and the late Albert L. Martin. She was employed at J.T. Davis Insurance Agency as an agent. She was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church.
On November 4, 1979 she married James Terry Jr. who survives of the residence.
In addition to her mother and husband, Mrs. Terry is survived by four daughters, Rhonda S. Taylor (Tony) of Amelia, Pamela T. Sterusky (Mark) of Charleston, SC, Barbara S. Fisher (Wayne) of Volens and Sandra S. Vaughn (Jeffery) of Keeling; one son, Kenneth D. Short (Diane) of Nathalie; her grandchildren, Amber Nicole Taylor, Toni Lynn Taylor, Rebecca Diane Taylor, Wesley Haynes, C.W. Fisher Jr. and Cody Vaughn; and her special friends, Sandra G. Hughes (Robert) of Keeling.
Two children, Ronnie A. Short and Judy A. Short; and one brother, A.G. Martin, preceded Mrs. Terry in death.
Funeral services were held Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. at Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Home, North Main Chapel, Danville. Rev. Carl Burger officiated with burial in Highland Burial Park.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
