Mr. Issac Junior Easley of 1221 Sweeney Trail, Halifax died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at the age of 70.
Mr. Easley was born June 2, 1939 to the late Mr. Isaac August Easley and Mrs. Annie Younger Easley. He was formerly employed with the Halifax County Public Works Department.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jennifer Sparger of Camp Springs, MD; two sons, Mr. Kenneth Easley and Mr. Kevin Easley, both of Oxon Hill, MD; one granddaughter, Ms. Kendall Easley; six sisters, Mrs. Nannie Edmondson and Ms. Mary Easley, both of Halifax, Mrs. Betty Palmer of Vernon Hill, Ms. Dorothy Easley, Ms. Linda Easley and Ms. Brenda Easley, all of Clinton, MD; two brothers, Mr. Willie Easley and Mr. Larry Easley, both of Halifax; two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. One brother, Mr. Therman Easley, also preceded Mr. Easley in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 23, at 1 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Willie N. Yancey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the service and all other times at the home of Ms. Mary Easley, 1215 Sweeney Trail, Halifax.
